Hey,
Here are some Japanese natural stones I want to sell. I am moving my workshop so it's good time for sorting some stones. I generally got another similar stone for making the job, that's why I am selling these :
- Okudo Kuro renge. 196X73x31, 1060 grammes. LV4 feels hard, not grabby, nice feeling for a hard stone. You can feel it's an abrasive stone, good for sharpening. Harder stone for polishing because of the hardness but give nice contrast finish with nice details. Slurry will come quick with san mai blade, no need for nagura. Grit is between 6k/8k.
250 euros SOLD
- Aoto. 225X63x64. 2250 grammes. LV3,5
Not soft but quite coarse aoto about 1k/2k grit. Not really good for polishing but will be useful for sharpening.
100 euros. SOLD
- Aizu n°40 from Morihei. 200X70x53/49. 1550 grammes. LV 3,5
Not soft (but you can work with atoma slurry for fast work) and about 3k grit. Nice aizu for polishing progression or sharpening kitchen knives. I have convexed a little bit one end but I can send a fully flat stone if you want.
270 euros. SOLD
