Hi folks
There's a property that has come up for sale that my wife and I have had our eyes on. That means I'm gonna have to come up with some more money than I've got on-hand at this moment - and like so many of us here, I'm sitting on a lot of money in the form of knives!
So, I'm putting a lot of my knives up for sale....
I'm going to describe the knives as best I can but I do not have photos of them right away. If you have any specific concerns about a knife you're interested in, let me know and I'll take a few quick photos tonight. Otherwise, I'm going to put up photos of the highest dollar value items over the next few days which means the others will have to wait. Sorry for this, but the property likely won't stay on the market for too long so I can't do all the photos first.
I've been around here for a while and have bought & sold a fair bit, so I hope that I've built up some trust with you all
All prices USD and include shipping in Canada and CONUS. Beyond that, we can discuss how much shipping will come to.
Chuka:
Ashi Hamano 220 white 2 monosteel - excellent condition, may have used once or twice - may even be new and unused, but I'd have to check later; $265 - NB: This one might be with Tosho for a saya, I'll have to check; if it is, then it's not available for sale after all
Gesshin Ginga 220 swedish stainless - excellent condition, used a handful of times last year; $275
Itinomonn kurouchi 215 chuka white 2 - excellent condition, with a very nice handle, used once or twice; $290
Sugimoto #6 - excellent condition, used a few times; $280
Tadatsuna 220 ginsanko - I think this one is brand new and unused; $270
Takeda 265 Classic AS with saya - this is a serious chuka - dare I say it, absolutely macho - and the polished saya was made by Takeda himself (looks like maple), in excellent condition; probably one-of-a-kind, and certainly a rare find; a little heavier than standard-sized chuka but not at all clunky and it feels comfortable in the hand; $750
Deba:
Sakai Takayuki 180 deba white 2 - forged by Kenji Togashi of Suisin Densho/Densyo (and Momiji) fame; brand new and unused; $235
Konosuke Fujiyama 270 mioroshi blue 2 - this thing is a beast, but an absolutely gorgeous beast; I have never used it since I got it, and it looks like the previous owner who custom ordered it never used it either; $560 [photos coming soon]
Yoshihiro 150 konkasumi deba blue 2 - with ho wood saya, in very good condition; $165
