New member here, I'm Aaron. I'm an electrical engineering major at the University of Central Florida and new to the world of high end kitchen knives. About a year ago I really got into cooking and since then I have tried to learn as much as I could about it. I started off with a single Chinese made grocery store 8" chefs knife that was pretty much useless. I quickly decided to replace it and got a 5" Chicago Cutlery Partoku knife that was a big step up, but still nothing great. After that I decided to do some research and get something good. I ended up getting a Messermeister 8" chefs and a 4" Paring along with a ProTeak cutting board.
Now I'm looking into getting some carbon steel Japanese knives and getting into the world of sharpening and maybe even knife making.
Thanks for reading, and I look forward to seeing you all in the forums.
