[Cooking Steel]

Hey Everyone,

My name is Hayden, and I am a fulltime knifemaker from Auckland, New Zealand. I make hand forged kitchen knives, and like playing around with patterned steel and recycled materials. I trade as Champion Knives, which is a tribute to our retired racing Greyhound.

I was a chef for 25 years, and have been making knives for many years as a hobby, but moved to full time last June 2023. I thought its about time I reached out a bit further to the global knife community, especially as Instagram has changed a lot in the past few years. I look forward to chatting with a bunch of you, and sharing some of my work.

Great to find a place to endlessly nerd out on knives!
