#1.Ohira Renge Suita from JNS. This stone was from the very first batch Maksim received, he showed me all the stones and I chose several that I liked. He then tested and selected the best of them.
This is a very tough decision for me, but with a new house purchase I need funds.
This is an absolutely beautiful stone that performs. Pink and a little bit of black renge in abundance through out the whole stone make it very fast cutter and yet the stone is very fine.
The stone works great with the standard steels (white 2, Blue 2, Shigefusa swedish, Kato steel, V2, VG-10). Finish is in the 6-8k range, the stone is lvl3.5 -4 hardness it is perfect for polishing jigane.
The stone is sealed on all sides and the bottom with dimensions: 208x76x45mm.
That kind of stone is extremely hard to find, and will cost a lot of money in Japan.

This is a super uniform stone with no lines, and nashiji.
Finishes in the 4k range, lvl 3, very nice preploshier. Works very well with the standard steels (White 2, Blue 2, Shigefusa swedish, Kato steel, V2, VG-10)
