Selling my Sakai Yanagiba because I don't use it. Has a slight patina, I've only ever cut fish with it. There are some micro-chips in the blade edge and the tip is tipped. Both of these issues would be easily resolved. I only ever touched it up on stones, i've never fully sharpened it out of fear of messing up. It has been previously sharpened by past owner. Asking $175 shipped con usa, no international please.

Heel to tip about 290mm
Weight 270g

The kanji look like Yoshikuni 吉国, not Takayuki 孝行.

Thank you for the observation. I'm going off of what I was told when I purchased the knife. I'm not trying to misrepresent it in any way. Can anyone confirm? I am not familiar with yoshikuni

Kanji on blade seems to say yosh ikuni saku, the 3 kanji close to the handle. The kanji close to the to says Sakai

Many, many knife brands in Japan that aren't internet documented in Japanese let alone english, and this is a legit and higher end Sakai knife.

Box says (I think)

Yoshi kuni. Blue 2 steel
Yanagi ba 300mm
Ebony handle. Machi polished
