That's exactly how I felt about the recently released el Bulli movie, interesting but definitely worth the wait for it to come out on Netflix.

Not sure if this has already been mentioned, but that El Bulli documentary (the one entirely in Spanish) is available on Netflix Streaming.

Great insight for those who are curious about the legacy of the restaurant.

I saw it last weekend (free on Amazon Prime and Netflix too I think). I really enjoyed it and liked the focus on Jiro. It was a beautiful production, but no way would I want to take any of those guys places.

I watched it on Netflix last week. This is certainly one of those films that will stick with me for the rest of my life. Really beautifully done production and story telling, I'm so in awe of Jiro but at the same time would never want his place or that of his sons. This illustrates so perfectly how one can approach perfection, but that it demands a life of single-minded dedication and abstinence from almost everything else... It's both sad and very understandable why this type of greatness is becoming a thing of the past.


Of course, being the geek that I am, I would have loved to seem more explanation of the food, technique and, of course, knives, but I think that the film struck a very good balance.

Yes, the comicbook (Get Jiro! by Anthony Bourdain) is awesome. Read it cover-to-cover in Barnes and Noble last weekend.
