Something spalted for sure. Spalted maple? Not confident though. Interesting dark brown color. Dyed box elder?

I'm pretty sure it's dyed spalted karelian birch (aka masur birch).

Most of the other stuff in the photo also looks to me like karelian birch.

After looking at it, I agree. Never seen it dyed before so that makes sense
