I find myself asking: what would take longer? Learning how to peel an apple like that or learning how to edit a video and post it to the Internet?
 
For me it is the ability to slice things like veggies paper thin, whether it be mushrooms, chillies or shallots. When I entertain people sometimes cannot believe it is even possible.
 
It wasn't me. It was my Hiromoto AS gyuto that made my avid german/swiss knife user head chef grin. :)
 
first apple vid has a nice solution for anyone working in a professional kitchen looking for a quick edge saver on the line, looks like the guy's got a little cardboard tab in front of the bottom of the cooler to keep his knife edge from clanging against ss. clever.
