I liked this knife so much, that I bought his big brother. This is an early example of this line, as you can see from the OG makers mark. I bought this on BST because I wanted to try Shehan's work. After 1 week using this at the job, I knew 2 things....he makes a great knife, and I wanted to try more of his work. I ended up buying 2 more in my preferred 240 length. I intended to keep this one too, but I just don't use 210s that often and this is way too nice a knife not to be used and enjoyed.

It comes with the Shi.Han edge guard and a custom saya that I cut out of some curly ash.

Length - 213
Height - 50
weight - 177g
Thickness out of the handle - 3mm

I would estimate its value at $425 and would be curious to see if there are any interesting trades out there. I am generally looking to trade up and am willing to add cash to balance the scales.

Family shot.....with his big brother...

Damn, I really want to try an older shihan. I already have 2 of his knives with a 3rd on it's way. Any interest in trading for the exact same knife except newer with a ktip? In all honesty, what sort of knives are you looking to trade for?

I really like hus stuff too. I bought a 240 from the same line and a custom in thick stock AEB-L. The stainless pretty much stays in my work bag, regardless of whatever else I bring. I can always count on it!

There has been a lot of response on this, really almost overwhelming, with several really good potential trades. My interest is mainly to try new makers. I don't have a lot of experience with "western" smiths, so Tsourkan, Tansu, Halcyon, etc would all be cool to try. My prefered size is 240ish, and my prefererance is that the cladding not be super reactive (in an ideal world)
