A quite a few of my friends have this knife, they really enjoy them. One of them was able to source more of them, this knife is one of those, took about 8 months to land. If you like lasers or mid wieghts this is not the knife for you, this is a big boy with an excellent grind. My buddies won’t let theirs go, they like them a lot. The knife is white #1, the edge is 275mm, the heel is 57mm, it weighs 339 grams without a handle. If your interested in buying the knife I have a good friend that does amazing work with Wa handles If you don’t have your own favorite handle maker.

I’m asking 600.00 shipped priority. International can be shipped for the extra shipping $$

I’ve got one of these and love it. Food release is phenomenal and it’s more nimble than it would seem based on the specs. I paid more for mine and won’t be selling. Well worth the price IMO. Here are a few pics of mine if anyone’s curious.

I wonder if that’s a typo on the original post. I have one as well. Mine measures 274x60 and weighs 436g (with handle). The kanji on mine isn’t quite as prominent as the one the OP is selling.

I’ve wanted one of these since I saw the gentleman above posting his some months ago. That grind and those measurements are calling my name. Bad timing. Whoever picks this up is in for a treat man. Someone pick this up before I lose control 😄

Could I get a spine photo to see the taper?

Have the honour to own this beast. It's an all round gyuto. I'm not a laser fan so this is perfect for me. It's white 1 core gives clean cut on spring onion while splitting fish head into half with no chipping. Also to be noted the clad is vintage wrought so with some polishing magic you shall see a sexy cladding line with bandings. My friend who is a stone expert Ioves this blade too. Definitely one of my daily rider. Mine is 276x59, 456g with handle.

How do these compare to the other workhorses people like here, like Toyama and Watanabe? That is one heavy blade!

I don't have Toyama gyuto just a nakiri. I love my Toyama but don't really think Toyama is as workhorse as my Kato WH or Marko WH. The blade is light and the hamaguri with zero grind reminds me more of a Shig. Feel free to correct if I'm wrong with WH. But Yamahide is quite different, beefy grind almost like some nata, so you can basically cut anything in the kitchen without much concern of chipping yet it has the sharpness on board as a kitchen knife. It certainly has its limits, on things like carrots or pumpkins. Well, that's the fun time for my Marko.

Knife is sold. Thanks KKF. Also, thanks to those who shared the thoughts about the knife, much appreciated!
