Cleaning process is explained around the 2 minute mark, so it is not a case of "that which cannot be cleaned need not be cleaned". "Fun" to sharpen though I assume, and the naked blade looks like a rather dangerous object (very few, and counterintuitive, safe ways to grab it) to have lying about while the rest is in the dishwasher..

Certainly not something for a knife enthusiast, but doesn't look useless as a casual kitchen tool. And if the blade is really 59HRC we are not looking at a totally shoddy design..

Good explanation at 1:23

YES! YES! Finally, for the first time in history, the knife, and the wheel, together in sweet harmony. Finally the angels may sing and the trumpets can blow hahahahaha.

Yea, I see this a lot too… pretty much anyone can go and throw "chef" in front of their name.

Kinda reminds me of a quote from salty:
I have a serious love/hate thing for cooking.
Back in the day we didn't let douche bags in. Now the kitchens are crawling with them.

I came across this clip today, as Youtube suggested it on my homepage. Good ol' Youtube!

They clip is a bit old, so maybe it has been posted here before? The highlights are the pull through sharpening starting at 3:00 and the brilliant paper cut test of the "sharpened" knives at 6:30. Amazing stuff! :happy3:

My favorite part is wipe it with shirt or something before food preparation or using it medically or surically.

Not sure if this has been posted before but it will definitely revolutionise the knife world.

Wow. Ignoring all the other issues, I wonder if people enjoy having metal particles in their food.

She is really fighting with the onion.. but nope its so sharp!
They dondt mention that the knife size will decrease.. they dondt trust the edge retention of their steel ;)

I wonder if its making that "wuuuuuuussssssshhh" sound in reality if you draw the knife !

Another revolution:

Yes, but knives can cause injuries as well. It does do the twirl thing quite well (not sure why I would need that) but I chop faster by hand than he can with that gadget.

Foot? I was watching the video hoping to see a finger or two rolled off. Maybe the chef should work on his knife skills to avoid wrist pain instead of inventing rolling knives..

I would look at least as awkward trying to push cut with a serrated blade with no knuckle clearance :) Speaking of it, I think I saw a serrated version, actually think it had an electric motor too, at the hardware store today...

linked from it ... now that is the knucklesome awehead video of the day I think...
