I'd like to get something a bit toothier than Gesshin 6000. Which of the JNS Aoto stones would be a better compliment the Red Aoto or the other blue speckle one? I know the the red one is softer and a bit faster. Just trying to decide between the two. I couldn't seem to find a direct comparison, so if anyone used both, please give your opinion.

Gesshin Synthetic Natural and most probably also the JNS synthetic blue Aoto (Matukusuyama or something like that). Or Gesshin 4000 for some serious bite.
 
I really want gesshin 4000, but it is significantly more expensive. Where do you see the discount? Thank you for the suggestions.
 
Just wanted to say thanks to all for Gesshin 4000 recommendation. Used it last night and I am very happy with its performance. It cuts fast and feedback is excellent.
