I donẗ know where the asymmetry I detected in the edge came from. I just followed the existing edge and didn't want to change its geometry.

I typically sharpen asymmetrically, but the grind is 50/50 on this knife.

Curiously I never found it too short. Normally I do the same with 240 or 270mm blades, but this shorty did very well.

Second thought: as I moved my grip a greater part of the blade has become available.
