hammer vs pinch grip

I don't use a pinch grip with my petty, but definitely on my gyutos. I can't really think what I do with the Del line knife I have. Also, I had one nakiri where a pinch grip felt normal, and another where it didn't feel comfortable at all.

Waiting for a Marko suji right now... I don't suspect I'll use a pinch on that either.
