I keep coming back to this page to admire these two lignum vitae handed knives. I really dig these handles. Got anymore of this particular wood left? If so I think I can see a fun little discussion in our near future?

Yeah, it's one of my favorite woods. I have a dozen or so blocks of it left.

Here's a little Carter I just converted from a western handle to a wa handle.
The handle material is spalted hackberry with nickel silver accents.

Similar to these knives before....

The model type of the nickel silver?
I purchased it at jantz knife supply. You can find it in their metals section under the sub section "flat bar".
It comes in many different widths and thicknesses.

Here A 240mm konosuke fujiyama gyuto I made a handle for. It is constructed of lignum vitae with a musk ox horn ferrule. I put a nickel silver spacer in the end of the handle and also another nickel spacer between the ferrule and the body of the handle. There is even a nickel silver split dowel where the tang of the knife enters the ferrule.

Great and original combination! Nickel inserts are different but intriguing
