Guys, we did not hear from Sam in nearly a year, it is safe to assume that this passaround is not going to happen.

I never got it. Knife went back to Sam for some work before my spot (3rd on list) came up. And then The whole Sam disappearing thing happened ....
Thanks Alterwisser! Mystery solved ! Sam got the knife returned (for re-work) prior to your receiving it and he went sideways / pass around DOA ... much appreciate the follow up this thread has just been hanging here and was hoping someone would add some incite!
