Here are a couple more. The first was taken in Chiang Mai Thailand the other was of the "knife guy" in a meat market in Bangkok. The sharpening stone photo doesn't really show how deeply dished it is. Looked like you could use it for a soup bowl. sweet looking, but what would you use that for? Looks like the horn would hurt you more than the blade would hurt anyone else.

Ginger was already known in China in the first millennium BC if not earlier, where it had been cultivated in the southern and central provinces. It has a long and illustrious history in China and was used during the Han period.
