SHINDO SHAMAN 240

246x53, 152 g without the handle. Good distal taper, a lot more "smooth" with less hammer marks than my older work of his, though you can still see some on the left side. I am exceedingly pleased with the profile on this. That big flattish sweet spot is a push cutting dream. No sharp spots on spine or choil, OOB edge is sufficient but meh, will put my own edge on it after handle install. Tagging in @Yoshi As I promised to show him as soon as it arrived.

Introducing what is now indisputably one of the coolest knives in my collection thanks to the craftsmanship of our very own @birdsfan , the SNAKEWOOD DRAGON šŸ‰ This knife is pure metal šŸ¤˜šŸ¤˜ Thanks Fred for this certified badassery.

Amazing. Where did you get this? Was it a special order??

2nd knife that arrived. A fellow countryman well loved by this forum.
A 228 mm x 51 mm Raquin 125sc xc10 cladding. Classic grind. 172g with the famous burnt oak handle. Also a little strop he made.

Little teaser of something great to come at the end :)

How do you like that Serbian tall bunka?
Haha itā€™s definitely close to a Serbian Chefā€™s knife but not quite. And I literally just got it yesterday so I havenā€™t even used it yet. I expect it to be my main Cabbage Knife though. Very excited. The weight is pretty good. Usually I prefer much lighter knives but this is a CHOPper

1) love the stickers!
2) oooh do tell about that blade at the end! Especially composition and construction of the cladding.

1) Haven't decided where to put them yet :p

2) Hehe it's a knife from Yanick that arrived today. But I have a backlog of knives to post so it'll be posted in a couple days. Yanick posted it recently so you can check there first. It's a 135cr3 core steel with multi-layer of wrought iron and 15n20. (In total a 11 layer construction so a juichi-mai?) Carbonknifeco also has one like that. The firsts of their kinds šŸ˜
