I am lucky enough to live in the path of totality . Got some awesome shots of the eclipse today . Took these from my back yard.

What kind of equipment did you use? Do you have any other experience with astrophotography?

Sorry for the late reply ...... This was as basic of a setup as it could get. I used a fuji Xt-10 w the cheap fuji 55-250 kit lens. Manual focus @ f8 , don't remember what the ISO was. That's it . No filter or anything special . I don't do much photography at all anymore , but astrophotography was never a thing I got into .
 
You don’t need a filter once full eclipse starts. You only use a filter if you’re taking photos of the different stages. Once full eclipse starts you actually have to remove your filters or it will be too dark.
