Ha my masamoto's sharpened spine almost touching the stone. Edges so thin they would last almost a week.

True, Denka sharpening is optional. Not necessary. I think I’ve only experienced a dull denka once.

For the month of February and March, I had not lasted two days without buying another knife…let’s see how April goes…thinking no more than 2 knives a week might be a win for me…
Bought two knives this year 2024. Another mono steel magnacut.
Other one Sentan Hap 40 65-67 hrc. On sale at k&s. Nice grind gets very thin towards the tip. I like Hap40. Can make it shaving sharp & good edge retention.

Man that handle looks really nice….and comfortable
It is comfortable. Only one that had desert ironwood handle that's reason picked this blade.

Yeah I need to hop on the abstinence train. I may be relatively new to this but my collection has grown far too quickly and my bank account has been reflecting that. Add on to that that I have a TF Denka and a few customs in the works, I should just chill and wait for them to arrive. For now I kind of have everything that I've been eyeing picking up recently (A true tribute to my self control). I have been looking at picking up a Moritaka or Manaka Aogami cleaver, nice big rectangle boi has been missing from my currently lineup.
