    Knife Identification

Can someone identify one or both of these knives -- which I've been offered privately by a seller who is evidently as ignorant as I am about them, and can only tell me that they are about 210mm? Without knowing the makers, I can't even venture a guess as to what them might be worth. Thank you!

2023 East Coast Gathering (ECG) - Sunday, July 16, Washington, DC Area

Another superb ECG!! Special thanks of course to David for hosting this annual event again and all the work you put in. And I wish I could individually name and thank all the other people who did so much — such delicious food! Everything from the tasty spicy dip to the pulled pork I couldn’t get...

2023 East Coast Gathering (ECG) - Sunday, July 16, Washington, DC Area

Am once again planning to attend this terrific event. Just wanted to mention that I expect to drive there -- from Philadelphia (Chestnut Hill/West Mount Airy section) just for the day, and would be glad to provide transportation for others who can meet me at my house (where they may park their...

You're much too kind. (Or . . . when was the last time you saw an optometrist?)

Whats cooking? **** Making something fine and fancy?** Just plain good? Show us!

Dear [unintentional] Sadists: After spending countless hours admiring – and salivating over – so much of what has been impressively posted here, after my disastrous experience a short while ago I was suddenly and rather perversely overcome by the impulse to rudely intrude by presenting a...

Looks delicious. But I suspect my mouth would be, at best, numb, from the Sichuan(?) peppers. Catfish?

    Dinner Failure

Sorry to hear, but I'm willing to bet that not only were all your guests gracious -- and complimentary -- but this was an instance when you were by far your own harshest critic. That's pretty typical, especially when entertaining guests and setting high expectations/standards for yourself. My...

SOLD Snakes Stupid Labor Day Square Sale (Mazaki, Muneaki, Sugimoto)

Objectively, really can't take issue with that as far as overall fairness. (Sure, some people seem to scan the forums with greater frequency and regularity than others, but those are the breaks, and no feasible way to level that playing field -- nor should there be.) Keep up the good work/sales...
