    It says "Japan. Made by Kawamura" (just as people before me already pointed out), and on the back of the blade it says "white"

    Japan Trip Knife Suggestions

    "it's just Japan after all" attitude, I think, can sometimes really hurt though :( Setting a bad example (even though yourself wouldn't be yelled at or anything) can hurt everyone else from foreign countries as well. I always think just showing up is not just rude but offensive.

    yup I'm on the same page... Especially with this type of font (that is commonly used and not particularly crazily artistic), I tend to consider this typo.

    Maybe it was supposed to be "魂" (Tamashii/Spirit)?? It's missing just one stroke though. Or I could be a stupid one and not knowing this particular kanji - in that case, I apologize :(

    Recommendation knife for wife

    I'm really liking my 240mm white #2 wa-gyuto and 150mm stainless wa-petty :) 240mm is manageable and i think leaning how to work with this knife made cooking more efficient. I found that thin and light japanese knives feel great, and not as intimidating.... :) ! If it is a thicker and heavier...
