    FS: Ohira Renge Suita

I'm selling an Ohira Renge Suita that I bought from Maksim. It's a beautiful collector-grade stone and a wonderful polisher, but I have another Ohira Suita (no renge pattern, unfortunately) that performs similarly. I can't justify keeping both, so I'm selling the prettier one. The renge pattern...

I'm selling my TGN (thegoldennib.com) 24mm Super Silvertip shaving brush. It has a butterscotch handle, also from TGN. In addition to selling complete brushes (assembled on request), TGN is also a well-respected supplier to custom brush makers. I used the brush exactly three times. It's not...

    Stefan handle for sale

I bought this handle last year without a knife to put it on, and I still don't have a knife to put it on, so I'm selling it to help pay for some recent purchases. Here's the original post on it (from which I copied the photo below)...

    free beeswax

Another thread reminded me that I have some pucks of beeswax that I don't need, and which I'd like to give away. Each puck is about 20g in weight, and I guess you'd need about 2 or 3 pucks to mix with a cup of mineral oil to make your own cutting board butter (search the web for recipes)...

    milk frother?

My wife recently gave me a Nespresso machine. I'm really enjoying the coffee it makes. What would be a good milk frother to use with it? Convenience is a big plus for me. I know that Nespresso makes the Aeroccino. Are there better options? Thanks for any recommendations! Regards, Mark

board butter on bakko yanagi cutting board?

I bought a Bakko Yanagi cutting board from aframestokyo, and the recommendation is to "Please make a wet the cutting board before using it. It prevents ingredients smell getting in the cutting board as saturated with water." Any reason I shouldn't use a mineral oil/beeswax mixture on it instead...

    Carter faux nakiri

Carter has a "faux nakiri" for sale on his site. Looks like he had a gyuto with a broken tip and decided to reshape and "rebrand" it. I'm sure it cuts well as long as you can past how it looks. :-)

Japanese Knives symbol on Takashima Awasedo?

Hi Sara and Jon, What does the flower-like symbol, seen here on the left (top of the stone), on the Takashima Awasedo mean? I see it on other stones as well. Also what does the kanji say? Thanks, Mark

    Japanese Knives kudos to JKI!

Holy cow! Received my first package from Jon and Sara. It was well packed, and wrapped in black Japanese (I assume) paper, wrapped "Japanese" style, where only one piece of tape is used (wrapped diagonally, not sure how else to describe it). And---get this---it included a hand-written "thank...
