    Laser grind Damasteel

Only sharpening left on this photo but the edge can already cut paper. I think that classifies the grind as a laser grind….. 🙃 Damasteel, stabilized maple and bronze. The grind profile is full flat.

Hello everyone! Is there any interest in a really gorgeous knife with mammoth molar handle set in bronze? $550 plus $20 for shipping outside of sweden I usually only make one knife a year with a Mammoth tooth handle since Mammoth tooth is a finicky material to work with. And I usually...

Pair of Damasteel knives with redwood handles

I think this is my fourth knife in stabilized redwood. I find it easier to work with normal hardwood but that’s probably because I’m more used to it. You have to be a little lighter on the hand when grinding the Redwood. I’m adding a photo of the other pair of knives with redwood and some more...

Pair of Damasteel knives with redwood handles

Thanks Kbright! Yes Redwood is really soft, and yes the wood is stabilized. I usually work with stabilized hardwoods and stabilized Redwood is definitely softer than stabilized hardwood.

    Scaniansteel

I usually sand to 800-1200 grit but after that i polish the piece on four different buffring wheels with compounds going from 6,5 micron down to 0,1 micron. This renovera all scratches from sandning and leaves a perfect mirror polish before etching
