    Sharpener for non-sharpener

Well, for me it was the difference between my mother hurting herself with dull knives or not.

    Sharpener for non-sharpener

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0018RSEMU?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 Pricey but does work, very easy learning curve. A great gift for those that like to cook but aren't necessarily knife people.

Booker's would be a great choice, Hirsch "The Horizon" is also great.

    Purple hart help

CA glue is probably number one for preserving what's underneath it, color included. I think the texture it provides is fine but some dislike it.

Talk about a learning experience, Japanese knives.

Everything has its place, those "beaters" can hack up a lobster without becoming serrated in the process.

Some recent meals. Bacon wrapped shrimp with baked beans, a Detroit style pizza with artichoke hearts, olives, roasted red peppers, pepperoni, and jalapeños, and some shrimp lightly coated in potato starch and fried.

esoo tries to make a wa handle

A few drops of a dye such as https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XD39K55/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 works like a charm on any 2 part epoxy that I've tried it with. Never had any issue burning or weakening epoxy when using a MAPP torch and keeping it moving.

esoo tries to make a wa handle

With a torch you can char a handle waaaay before producing enough heat to burn cured epoxy. If blackened is the desired end result, I'd dye the epoxy rather than add sawdust.

Epoxy, especially when mixed with sawdust, can hide many sins!

Looks great! Might be a little nicer in the hand for a pinch grip if you shaped the top a bit, or just round corners off until they don't feel like pressure points.
