    Disc Sanders

Back when I made handles... I used a 9" combo disc grinder which worked ok, then I bought a 20" grinder which worked GREAT. The biggest draw back to the huge grinder was the cost of upkeep as the discs are insanely expensive. After some "research," I find that the 9" with a 1° bevel works the...

    NOS: Moritaka 270mm Gyuto

Its the last handle made by an unnamed source who no longer makes them... sorry, that's as specific as I can be under forum rules.

    NOS: Moritaka 270mm Gyuto

Okay, so I've added a handle but have decided to leave the grind issues to the likes of Sharp Master Dave. Anyway, the D-handle is made of K&G stabilized Lace Maple Burl (ferrule) and Madrone Burl. To offset for the cost of the handle but still leave the new owner enough to fix the grind...

    NOS: Moritaka 270mm Gyuto

The grind isn't perfect but its far from the typical bad grind we see in Moritakas, on a scale of 1-10, its about a 7. I ended having to fix two knives out of the 3 Moritakas (purchased a total of 7 including this one) I have purchased over the years but I wouldn't bother with this one.

Hermes, I have a few Ho wood / buffalo handles left over from days past. I'd be more than willing to throw one on if you'd like.

    NOS: Moritaka 270mm Gyuto

I bought this knife about three or four years ago at the height of my purchasing craze along with about 15 or so other knives that all arrived in the same two week span. Oddly enough, I set this guy in a box which the wife later filled with donation items for Goodwill. While cleaning out the...

    Some Handle Material

Hello. Up for grabs I have some nice pieces of burls perfect for wa handles or cutting into smaller scales. Since I'm no longer making handles these are just taking up space in my shop. They are all K&G stabilized and heavily figured. The Redwood burl (I had purchased about 40 18" pieces) came...

    Edge Protectors

Pabloz, a while ago I made a few dozen for a knife maker in my area out of thin Kydex. It doesn't take dong, its easy and if you have a good source, its inexpensive if you have the time to spend on it.

    Do western handless need rivets?

    Brown Paper Bag

I use common printer paper to finish shaving brushes and pens. I haven't tried the paper bag but I'm sure it would work in the same way.

    Amboyna/Tooth wip

Lovely smell, isn't it? For a minute I thought it was best scent until working with genuine and Argentinian Lignum Vitae. My shop smelled like roses for weeks. It even overpowered the smell of steel on the grinder and micarta on the band saw. Great looking handle by the way... I love the...

    Static electricity

One of these and you'll be alright. I was having this issue a while ago and the strap took care of it. Just be mindful to keep it away from moving objects, but if you get it caught, the snap gives with little pressure.
