From the conversation my mom (I am out of the country and cant make calls) had it looks like the walnut bored will never be seen again. Disappointing that I am out not only the $400 bored but the $65 repair cost. The response I got via email from my mom who called twice in the past month.

Hey I just got in the mail a new 270 Shigefusa but due to a miss communication the saya was not included. Trying to save the seller some money does anyone know of a saya maker in the US? If I dont have to I would rather not ship back to japan. Thanks
