200ish x 47 Iron Clad B1, forged by Tanaka, sharpened by Yohei (takada).
Pretty classic laser, Takada really grinds a great laser, plus you can't beat Tanaka's B1.
Bought new ~8 months ago, had a bit of use at home, but not much lately. Sharpened once or twice, never thinned.
The blade is extremely light so I'm not sure why Hitohira decided to have it come with a full size ebony handle (other than it looks great with the blonde ferrule) but the balance was WAY off. I shortened the handle by ~25mm and the balance is now around the heel, WAY more usable in my opinion. I can include a hitohira cedar handle (which is extremely light 30-35g) but only if whoever buys the kama-asa gyuto I have listed doesn't want it.
