A low grit Jnat worth the investment. This is one of the Komaki, from Gunma prefecture, that Maxim recently listed. Fast, self slurrying, dense and hard like an Aizu, but much lower grit. Essentially splash n go, though it is very thirsty. Unlike a Natsuya, doesn't clog up and is entirely serviceable as an edge tool for touch up or sharpening. Completely removed the factory grind marks on this Kato in about 10 min. Only knock is it does kick off some crunchies now and again, you can see a few random deeper scratches, but they are reasonablly shallow.
Overall I'm really impressed, feels like the perfect stone to sit in front of the venerable Aizu.
A+ in my book!
