Looks great. How was the new D handle tweaked? New and old comparison photo would be great.

I moved the ridge slightly up and made it less pronounced. Also gave the handle more taper from back to front in both height and width.

Going to concentrate my effort to clear off the old orders (I took a deposit for these) in the next 2-3 weeks. These will be next. All heat treated, will start grinding some. All will have new heat treatment and new geometry.

    Iin Works

52100. All but four on the left heat treated (rusty ones aren't heat treated yet). Not pretty, but if you think that more than half of the steel will be ground off, it should not matter. Pictures are taken on an angle, in real life blades are taller. Even a Western suji has a nice knuckle clearance. All blades profiled by hand.

You have other priorities, so forget about western handles for a while.

Interesting photos. If you start with a short knife, you get positive reinforcement for your efforts sooner . . .
