Sort of a ridiculous first post, but here we are. About 18 months after falling into this knife rabbit hole, finally parting ways with many of the knives from along the way. I am sure there are a few here that have gone through a similar spree in a similar timeline (over 40 now...), so hopefully a few laughs can be made at my expense. But a lot of these have been sitting for many months so I hope to send them to a good home.

This is my first time selling here or photographing knives - so open to any feedback/suggestions/corrections - though I have been a buyer here on a handful of transactions and my SN is the same I use in my profession (skiing) so a lot of searchable transactions/business under my screen name out there.

Knives were kept on wooden magnetic racks - so the ones with a migaki finish (Takamura, Shibata) have a bit of scuffing from that. Not bad, but there if you look.

Likely only looking to sell at this time, as the only trades I would be interested in are basically unicorns (235+ Yanick, Spare rectangle).

Located in Portland, OR. PM or email (scott AT on3pskis DOT com) both work. Paypal or venmo work for me. Pricing includes insured shipping in lower-48 and any Paypal fees. I have access to pretty good international rates with Fedex - so international is possible with all shipping covered and buyer assuming all import costs.

1) Takeda AS Classic Large Cleaver - 240mm - $500 - SOLD

Weight - 350g
Dims - 233mm x 105mm (heal) - 111mm (apex)

Occasional use over a couple months. Would love to keep it, but find myself preferring the profile & weight of the Fujiyama. Probably to the point where it could use a touch up on some stones.

2) Takeda Stainless Clad Small Kiritsuke - 210mm - $250 - SOLD
Weight - 164g
Dims - 213mm x 59mm

A couple months of use. Similar to the Cleaver, could use a touchup on the stones. I suspect along the way it got touched up on a Chosera 800 / 3000, but don’t remember it specifically.

4) Shibata Tinker Tank - $500 - SOLD
Weight - 356g
Dims - 185mm x 85mm

Purchased on here - used a few times but just didn't connect with it like I thought. This is the only knife I don't have a box for.

5) Shibata Koutetsu R2 Gyoto - 240mm - SOLD
Weight - 170g
Dims - 245mm x 50mm

Probably 8-10 meals. Stropped. Unfortunately I got home, put this on my magnetic rack (woodsom) at the end where the dowel goes in - which wasn't fully flush - and scratched the knife within a few minutes of getting home. Otherwise good shape.

Hardly used - of this line ended up using the 240 and Bunka most.

7) Shibata Koutetsu R2 Bunka - 185mm - $180 - Sold
Weight - 134g
Dims - 210mm x 47mm

Had this in the rotation for a couple months. Never sharpened but stropped. Still plenty sharp after that use IMO.

One note here - I found most of the handles are flush from Shibata - except this one which does have a noticeable increase in thickness. I never noticed it in use - but you can see it in the choil photo.

8) Shibata Koutetsu R2 Ko-Bunka - 135mm - $180 - SOLD
Weight - 90g
Dims - 140mm x 40mm

Used a handful of times. Just smaller than I found practical for me. This is the one for whatever reason that the scuffing from the wooden magnetic rack seems most prevalent on. Again, not bad, but I want to call it out.

9) Myojin Riki SG2 - 240mm - $450 - SOLD
Weight - 200g
Dims - 233mm x 51mm

Never used. Got to have a stainless option in a profile/size I like but…still just grabbing other knives.

Used maybe…2-3 times. At the tail end of my buying before my preference solidified at 240mm.

11) Masakage Koishi Nakiri - 165mm - $200 - SOLD
Weight - 160g
Dims - 165mm x 59mm

Was in rotation for a bit - believe I touched up on Chosera 800 /3000 once. Like it a lot, just not really using Nakiris anymore.

13) Takamura Migaki SG2 Gyoto - 210mm - $100 - Sold
Weight - 150g
Dims - 210mm x 45mm

The one that started the pretty fast spiral. Used for probably a month before falling down the rabbit hole. Stropped but never sharpened.

Weight - 72g
Dims - 152mm x 30mm

Pretty minimal use. Similar in that some scuffing from the magnetic strip.

If you made it this far, thanks! If I can provide any more detail or photos, just ask.

That Takeda classic cleaver is a great deal too. I'd have grabbed it in a heartbeat it if I weren't capped on cleavers at the moment

I guess everything has been sold now ? I’m interested in the Kurosaki Nakiri !
