Asking price 500.

Its definitely a workhorse style grind, thick at the handle, heavy taper, walkschliffe at the tip. Full convex grind symmetrical. I need to find the pics for the hardness results but i think it was 65.5-66 hrc. I'm fairly sure.

5mm spine at handle
2.54 halfway up the blade
.87ish 10mm behind the edge.

The handle is heart shaped. mokume-gane, and ancient redgum. Imo a great combo. My camera literally cant do justice to the wood, it looks basically all black with details from the grain showing, but in person you can see some very subtle greys, and browns.

I polished the a2 to show the banding, had a hard time getting pics of it because the blade is so reflective. I might try later to get more that show it better but idk.

Last night i decided to polish the blade again, because I'm a masochist or something.

Anyway i was able to actually get the tempering line to show up, that i did (not a hamon!, a2 is air hardening not possible with it)

Also i think the detail in the banding shows a bit more.

About to send this one out today. My plan was actually originally to sell both of these a2 gyutos. The one i sold is 240, this one is 210.

However there was a knifemaker knife swap thing i'm in so this one had to be sacrificed for that.

Its a stainless bolster, bog oak frame handle to look like a western handle. With nickel silver to look like the tang.
