It's owned by Bacardi, it's got to be good!
The gyuto in front has an edge length of 245mm. Tip to bolster is 260mm.

The handle is shaped and hand sanded. I put 3-4 coats of gun stock finish and sand between each coat. This helps fill in pits and also seals everything for extra protection.

I love that handle. Nice work.

These are in 52100. The first has a really swirly grained African blackwood. I wasn't able to due the wood justice with my camera skills.

This has a Austrailian ringed gidgee.

I'll have two of these 240 x 55mm gyutos with a grind emphasizing food release available Thursday morning. One will have a slick Western handle which I'm really excited about :bliss: and the other will have a new handle configuration that I think you guys will really enjoy - comfy and a bit of a looker.

You better believe it! I have a damascus filet knife in progress for my little brother's birthday. He helped me soooo much with the house/shop move and placing the hammer so I think it's fitting he gets my first dammy blade.
I'll try to get a quick video going soon, those are a fun side project.
