I'll definitely try and stop by. I usually get up to Portland once a year. I've wanted to stop by Salvage but it was either Monday when they're closed or I was afraid of a place that sells something called the Meat Coma.
Going to be in Ancorage for a couple of days next month with family. Are there any really good places to eat there? Was there a decade ago and had some very good sushi, especially halibut (really fresh) at this one place.
I have to say, not eating meat (I am a piscivore) is certainly less complicated and there are fewer toys to spend $ on. (Well there is that knife thing...)
Richard Thompson at a great, small venue (300 seats). He's still unbelievable on the guitar and unlike many others, his voice hasn't lost anything with age.
Even more incentive to make it and bring my BB blade, which I would have done anyway. Luke, I'll be able to get a tune-up on it since it comes with lifetime sharpening, right? :lol2:
I've really been enjoying my new Zwiiling pots and pans. They work great and clean up quite easily. I don't know if my food has improved by I enjoy cooking more. Only complaints are that my steamer insert doesn't fit into the 3 qt. like it used to and you can't invert the covers and stack them...
Well, if you're going to injure yourself, a Dropkick Murphys concert is better than a lot of other places.
Happy Birthday. Know any good cocktails that use prune juice?
