Repost from wrong sub forum.. First 3 In and analized !. Masmoto, Gesshin, Hiromoto

totally agree.. but there has to be a starting point. So holding the knife, feeling the balance, feeling the handle, feeling the weight, and getting an overall sense is all I can do PRE using. With the aforementioned things resolved, I can then go with that knife and use it, and go from there...

Repost from wrong sub forum.. First 3 In and analized !. Masmoto, Gesshin, Hiromoto

All of these knives will cut well..and a comfortable knife that feels right, feels balanced and feels like it belongs in your hand is what this is about. So the feel of the choil and how it fits with my grip and my style, is of huge importance. The Hiro for instance had a harsh transition, and...

aside from the sale on the Masa.. the across the board price on the masa is 200.. Kagero was 230. I did not think there would be such a significant difference no. I could understand the disparage between the others that are in the 150 range. But this is my first time ever looking at, feeling ...

small change on shipping, no insurance or restock concerns. A waste of money( and time) would be to get a knife sight and feel unseen and use it and find out I don't like it and sell it for a loss and start over. In the grand scheme ifs I spend 20 or so bucks to return 4 knives... when ill...

Repost from wrong sub forum.. First 3 In and analized !. Masmoto, Gesshin, Hiromoto

Update, I brought the knives home to wife and adult daughter. They both immediately dismissed the Hiro. Daughter ultimately liked the Masa, due to the heavier feel. She has only ever owned german knives( currently Gunter Wilhelm which are tanks) The wife was floored by the kagero. She...

    Gesshin Kagero and Masamoto VG

as far as actually using.. I cant.. then I couldn't return 4 of them. They are all great performers im sure, but if If I love the feel/balance/comfort etc, and have preference for profile, then that knife will perform for me. And yes, the height is shorter on the kagero, which I prefer as...

Pulled the Trigger.. here is what im testing

As a reply to a few of the comments ootb edge and sharpness etc.....I don't care if a knife comes ready to split hairs. It could be uber Sharp...but if I hate the overall feel/ balance etc...then sharpness does not matter for that knife. I gotta start somewhere and can't cover every aspect...
