Has the thought of going vegetarian ever crossed your mind?

I've heard that all before, and personally as fas as no scientific evidence, I extremely disagree.

Has the thought of going vegetarian ever crossed your mind?

I have this conversation at least 10 times per day as I am a certified plant based chef and new clients or people who learn I am a chef are curious. Obviously it's an individuals choice whether they eat meat or not but science and longevity shows minimizing animal protein consumption reduces the...

Sharpening systems that use full size stones (8x3")

I just got one and like you, only got the magnet holder so I asked for a refund and was sent an email with their return policy which stated you can't return it if it has been open so its now got a permanent home in the cupboard. Too dangerous for me as I have developed arthritis in my hands and...

Passaround: SharpWorx Professional Guided Free Hand Sharpener

I bought it direct from the manufacturer, all the videos I watched showed the manual clamp AND the magnetic clamp but on their web site it just show's the magnetic so I cant complain as I guess I should have looked carefully at the web site pictures. Passaround: SharpWorx Professional Guided Free Hand Sharpener

I bought their Sharpworx Master 2 and I am quite disappointed with it. My arthritis is getting worse so I am looking for some kind of guide system that allows me to use my stones as keeping an angle is getting harder. I have read all the comments and the version I received may not be the version...

    Show your newest gear!

I was lucky to work at Williams Sonoma as their cooking instructor/manager and used that quite a few times. It has a solid feel and the rail holder was solid. I felt like the blades could be sharpener but they did the job. If you have the dice function, it can be hit or miss but on the whole...

    Show your newest gear!

I am a big pasta maker, currently mostly laminated but I do some extruded. The Kitchen Aid Gourmet Pasta Set works great for extruded (spaghetti, Bucatini, Rigatoni, Fusilli, Large & Small Macaroni) and as long as you follow their instructions, I have had zero issues with it. I also have a LEM...

Grocery prices are super high these days.

Works for me, the more we cook at home, the more money we save, and its way heathier.

Grocery prices are super high these days.

Not only high prices, I am seeing very poor quality produce. I am a personal plant based chef and I have had to up my prices considerably and having to spend more time picking through produce. Seems to be across the board with most stores I visit.

Things you do while cooking and aren't sure why.

I have this weird leaning slightly to the left when prepping, started it in my 2nd year of culinary school and have no idea why. Even 30 years on, I still do it, my wife thinks it hilarious 😂

    Show me your racks!

    That is sweet looking.

    Show me your racks!

Some beautiful racks. Mine is quite basic but the magnet is super strong.

What pans are you guys personally using?

Has anyone tried the HexClad Hybrid cookware, they have a very clean look to them and seem to get good reviews.
