I’m selling this guy. Frankly, I don’t have much of a need for anything else other than my Tansu honyaki at this point. It’s been fit with a highly contoured red Amboyna burl handle that I made (not perfect, but pretty beautiful I think). I can include the original wa handle, or I can also make you a new custom handle and install it from any of my woods (@dickson_handleworks) before I send it (for a fee).

This was custom made directly from the TF website. As you can see, there aren’t any hammer marks impeding the blade road down the bevel, so this thing can last forever. Never sharpened or honed, and I’ve probably used it to prep about 30 meals - it’s still incredibly sharp. There’s a little bit of epoxy on the heel that I will clean up with some acetone, and there’s a few light rust spots I can hit with a rust eraser if you want, but it’s in excellent condition.

$700 shipped CONUS

Quick question--"Custom" is usually used to distinguish from "stock". Are there things that make this knife a custom (specific requests, attributes, etc. etc.)?
