So I've gotten a pocket microscope recently. I got it for looking at my apex, and bevels. I've ended up taking a bunch of pictures of abrasives while I was at it.
To me they're super interesting. so I thought I might share here.
No. I don't have a computer. So I use a pocket microscope, and literally put my phone camera up to the lense. Its actually a huge pita lol.
The one I use was like 30 or 40 dollars. It's a little Carson that goes from 60x to 120x. The only complaint I have is what you are seeing moves in reverse when you move the microscope.
I did some polishing today on a project I'm working on, and I needed to get the surface condition of my uchigumori as smooth as possible to get rid of any chances of a stray scratch. So I figured this would be a perfect time to add to this post.
This is after a 120ish grit diamond lapping plate.
After the 600 grit chosera dressing stone.
Then finally after a natural nagura.
Again this is is my renge uchigumori. you can see the pinkish colored renge, along with some of the ink blotch looking bits (I forget their name).
Edit: I really thought I had posted more pictures here. I guess I posted most of the pictures to a discord server I'm in.
