Selling or trading my Adonis integral in Apex Ultra- I quite like this blade for all-around use and will get more from Adonis in the future. Stylistically, really like his craft. I travelled with this knife/saya for a summer vacation and got in a fair bit of time with it so can very comfortably speak to the characteristics of it. Forged taper and integral bolster. It has a nice "mid" grind shinogi, which gives is excellent food release and very little sense of getting stuck in dense food, though it will stick in the densest stuff without a little force on it. To me, squarely between a laster and WH grind. I have sharpened on a diamond 3k once, otherwise I've just stropped it on diamond loaded leather. Performs like Apex Ultra should - really nice steel that I keep becoming more and more a fan of. Nice patina forming on it. Handle and incredible saya - work of art for sure. Downsides? Could be a mid-grind whereas some prefer WH or laser. Also could be profile which leans more Yanick/Kamon and isn't quite as classic as a Wat or Kato. First/only owner, and brought direct from Antoine. Paid $1,925, asking $1,300 $950 for sale. For trades, would consider DT, Burke, Radar, or maybe some Euro makers, or hell, another Kato?
Photos below, let me know if anyone has questions. I did move this from a multi-knife thread to this thread to keep things clean.

Thanks for the question @Rob McKenna - See below. I'd say because of the shape and taper, heel doesn't feel like a higher 59mm heel, but it's there - I just checked measurements again. Very similar shape to my Yanicks. The weight is spot on mid-weight IMO - about 1 gram per MM of blade, even with that integral bolster.

Will drop the price once more on this. $950 delivered CONUS, or 50% of what I paid. Someone should want to grab it to try it out for that! Ping me with questions. International/other locations add $50 for shipping. Still open to trades if someone has something I should try.
