Hey there everyone! I know a lot of us on here who are lovers of blades might prefer things a bit longer sometimes
I myself started off as a knife collector but couldnt be happier when my parents let me purchase my first sword at 14 years old! ( A realllly bad fake knockoff reproduction of the Conan sword....dont judge lol)
Over the years I leaned more towards real and usable sword of all kinds and started making my own knives and am learning to make my own swords. I do quite a bit of custom mounting work as well for nihonto and other Japanese blades. So i thought i'd share my most recent mount as it had a beautifully thought out theme by the customer for him and his wife, "Cat & Mouse", the nicknames they gave each other lol I didn't make this blade, or its koshirae (fittings). I simply made the saya (blade case), habaki (copper blade collar), and made a new tsuka (handle) with its tsukamaki (braided silk wrapping on handle). Some parts are reproduction, some antique, and the hand guard or tsuba was made by the wonderfully talented Stefano Corrias, more of his work can be seen here https://www.instagram.com/stef_tosogu/
Share your sword pics! The good, the bad, and the collections
I wish I could have kept this one!!!!
