I picked this up recently in my foray back into JNATs but as y'all know, the hobby is dynamic and I have a few things on the way...
Unfortunately that means something has to go and so I'm letting go of this beauty.
Stone Information:
It was advertised as being fairly hard but feels soft for a Karasu (~ LV4).
Does not self slurry readily (best used with a nagura) and leaves a hazy kasumi / semi-mirror finish.
The lines are not felt during sharpening; there is a small divot in the center that can be felt.
205mm x 76mm x 80mm and weighs in at a massive ~3002g.
Paid ~$262 before another $40 worth of shipping to CONUS, asking $240 shipped CONUS.
(Someone please buy this before I change my mind because I have a fetish for mega-sized stones like this
