Description
I bought this one right when they came out after trying the older model in a passaround. I liked it enough that I have just upgraded to a more expensive knife from Spare, so I am selling this one as it is now redundant w/ my new one.
I have modified the choil to remove the backswept heel. It was annoying me as it grabbed towels and was a hazard for fingers. Doing that also made the pocket a bit wider, which also helped as it was a bit tight. After rounding the heel I polished it to a mirror, and also polished the spine so that it would match the new choil.
Used for a number of meals in the past few months. I sharpened it shortly after purchasing, as it arrived with no bite on the edge (I understand this is common for Spare knives). I sharpened it again while removing patina, so it is now sharper than new.
As I have modified the knife, I am asking around 100 bucks below the list price. Personally I think it has been improved. This is really a great knife, for sure one meant to be used.
