I have 2 knives on offer today to pay for a few customs.
The first is a Kippington LP 240mm. It's been used a few times so it has some patina but never sharpened.
It had something that could have been very light surface rust at some point so I cleaned it with some high grit micro-mesh pad. As a results, at two small spots, it's ever so slightly more polished than the satin it came as and there are some really hard to see scratches from the cleaning. I really tried to take pictures of them but after having spent 30min I could only take a picture of one. The rest are so faint, even by eye I have to spend a minute looking for them in different light. I tried to picture the slight discolorations left from the surface rust removal. Nothing can be felt at all and only some cosmetic issues. The performance hasn't changed at all.
When I bought it Jules said that it was one of the most comfortable he's made and I haven't tried other knives from him but in hand it is indeed really comfortable. I'm only selling it because it's too long and I want to pay for a shorter one.
Specs:
Kippington LP in 52100 for right-handed
Dimensions: 240 mm x 56 mm at 201g.
Spine thickness: 3.8 mm a heel, 1.8 mm at middle and 0.5 mm at 1 cm before the tip
The 2nd knife is a newly bought Birgersson #268. It's from his new stainless clad line. I bought too many knives and I've actually never even used it, not even for test cuts. It's in a weird spot as I bought it to be an easy to care quick prep knife, however I always reach for the fully stainless one in that case. That's why I'm selling it.
Spec:
Birgersson #268
Stainless clad high carbon steel
Dimensions: 181 mm x 51 mm. 147g
Spine thickness: 2.9 mm at heel, 1.8 mm in middle and 1.4 mm at 1cm before the tip For more pictures you can refer to this post.
Two really awesome makers right here.
I'd like to sell both for 1050€ including shipping fully insured in the EU. I'd prefer to keep it in the EU as I added the import taxes I had to pay (107€) for the Kippington in the selling price but if someone outside the EU doesn't mind, then I'm fine with it but might need to adjust the price for shipping. If nobody bites for the bundle I'll sell them separately in a few days.
Thanks for looking.
Cheers,
