Up for sale is this great Murray Carter funayuki with a custom amboyna burl Stefan Keller handle. Choil and spine are eased and polished. Profile on this knife is really awesome and the tip is great for detail work. Would love to keep it, especially after installing a custom handle on it, but have some medical bills that need to be paid.

The core is white #1 clad in SUS410 stainless. Overall it is 339 mm (13.3"), and weighs 157 grams. The edge is 187 mm, and the blade is 203 mm. It is 46 mm high at the heel. The spine is 2.3 mm at the heel, 1.8 mm halfway to the tip and 0.5 mm at 1 mm from the tip.

Handle by Stefan Keller is a right handed D-handle made of Spalted Amboyna burl, horn ferrule and end cap. Beautiful piece of wood that the photos just don't do justice. From Stefan Keller regarding this handle: "Beautiful piece of wood. Sometimes you find 2-tone amboyna that has red burl and creme-colored sap wood. This piece here has some spalting, so it's more like a 12-colored piece, but there are no burl eyes - and you won't miss them."

Knife has been gently used in a home environment only and has only been sharpened a few times.

Price is $600 shipped CONUS.

That is a beautiful blade and handle, of only the £ hadn't taken a dive. GLWS

Wow, what a gorgeous knife and handle. If it was 40mm longer, this would be mine. GLWS
