Catcheside Gyuto (C105 Steel)
Spine at heel, mid: 5.0 2.0

Notes: it is not a lefty grind, there is just a slight overgrind on the heel on one side that makes it look lefty biased. If you look at the primary bevel, you'll see it's only the case near the heel

Two things of note:
The Isasmedjan is straight, the photo just has the spine rotated. Also, what looks like a huge scuff on the face of the right side of the blade is just a reflection. The blade is oiled and that is just a smear I made with my finger that got reflected

That older Catcheside used to be mine. I really liked the feel of it and prefer it to his newer stuff. Much more WH like with a thick tang that’s almost semi integral like with great weight to it. But not overly heavy which was nice. Took a burr in only a few passes.

Overall it’s a great strong knife, would love to be able to buy this back.

I can vouch for the newer catchie. I’m the original owner. Thick spine, middleweight/laser feel. No steering when in use. Performance is top notch. Don’t sleep on this if you looking for a Catcheside, this one is a great representation of his work
