Description:

Super clean and really nice looking Ohira renge suita, lots of purple renge from top to bottom and produces a very pink slurry when lapped. Really nice layering as can be seen in one of the pictures. Perfect example of Ohira renge suita, hardness is in the sweet spot for knives at around LVL 3 (just a tad higher at most), feedback is chalky and smooth and very characteristics here, produces a reasonable amount of slurry when hitting a bevel but it's not a muddy stone so water management is fairly easy. Very fast and the finish it leaves is a very nice foggy cladding and strong contrast while the core has a little gloss. The stone is probably around 7k or a little lower.

Tenjo Suita with some Karasu and a sprinkle of renge. Quite possibly Ohira but not sure.

This is another fantastic stone from my top shelf category, around LVL 3.5 hardness so awesome for knives, feedback is really slick on this one once a little slurry develops and it will not create a thick slurry on it's own but enough to get a great lubrication. Fast and fine, this is over 8k for the finish, clearly finer than the renge suita I just listed but about as easy to use. Finish has a decent amount of gloss and contrast as can be seen in pictures. Really clean throughout without any thick Su layers but has a lot of that netting pattern.
