Hi,

(All Sold)

In terms of trades, I am looking for something lasery/midweight that is stainless by a western smith (Kippington, Bidinger, Potentially Open to Others) - Could offer other items in a trade such as a Kipp/Bidinger

Yoshikane SKD 240mm (Sold)

Letting this go for $320USD $270USD

Steel: SKD, Stainless Clad
Heel Height: 50.3mm
Edge Length: 244mm
Thickness of Spine at Heel: 3.8mm
Weight: 189g
Handle: Teak and Black Buffalo Horn
Geometry: Laser with more robust feel

Tested on some produce. Never sharpened - Has a free sharpening from Tosho if you are in Toronto.
Following positive feedback of the community, I decided to purchase and try out this knife
Really love the cutting feel and geometry of it

Kagekiyo Ginsan 240mm (Nakagawa x Myojin) (Sold)

Letting this go for $350USD

Steel: Ginsan (Silver 3), Stainless Clad
Heel Height: 50.2mm
Edge Length: 232mm
Thickness of Spine at Heel: 2.7mm
Weight: 184g
Handle: Taihei Ebony and Black Buffalo Horn
Geometry: Convex (Hamaguri) Laser

Tested on a couple of produce. Had the edge professionally sharpened once, unused since.
Really would love to keep this knife but I think it's best that I keep a strict quota on myself

Christian Dam 205mm (Sold)

Letting this go for $300USD $270USD

Steel: 26C3 (Spicy White)Wrought Iron Cladded
Heel Height: 51mm
Edge Length: 205mm
Thickness of Spine at Heel: 3mm
Weight: 145g
Handle: Swedish Birch
Geometry: ~ Light mid-weight
Finish: Stone Finished Bevels/Kasumi

Tested two cuts with it, cuts pretty amazing. Never sharpened.
Really nice knife with its bevels polished on stones.

Metal Monkey Cleaver 165mm (Sold)

Letting this go for $500USD $450USD

Steel: 52100
Heel Height: 85mm
Edge Length: 165mm
Thickness of Spine at Heel: 2.6mm
Weight: 287g
Handle: Forging Hammer Cutoff (Blackened Ash and Brass, I believe)
Geometry: Laser

Unfortunately, arrived with a few small chips near the heel and front of the knife, likely because of how thin the knife is.
Was used 2-3 times before it arrived to me. Never sharpened. Patina Removed.

As always, we can talk combo and trade deals in the DMs

Thanks all

Scott is a fantastic seller!

Also, I have the same Kagekiyo ginsan with the original walnut handle…and I’m seriously considering getting the one in this listing just for the Taihei ebony handle (worth $100+ alone). I love those Taihei handles.

Good looking knives. Where does the yanick figure into this?

For transparency I paid 2250USD for the set. From op's original valuations of the other knives I would believe I paid 1300 for the Yanick, which is what Modern Cooking valued the Yanick at

If I'm not wrong the original value of the MM would be 650 and the Dam at 350

Would definitely love to keep these as they feel and cut as great as some of the other knives that I do own. But too many knives and too little time, so gotta keep myself to a quota and preferred a more curated feel to what I do have

Got it. The yanick was bundled with a few of these knives as well as others added to cover the cost. Forgive me a little slow 🥴
