Bought Gyutohiki 270ish x 45ish

Hi, looking for a Gyutohiki or tall suji, measurements 270ish x 45ish. Don’t care about wa or yo handle or steel type just no shirogami please. Not really interested in the mass market sub-$100 stuff, so probably more the $150-$250 range, $300 cap unless it’s something special. Thanks for looking!

I like gyutohikis! These are quite a bit more expensive but special for definite:
MSicard 270mm gyuto
DanielC 265mm gyuto

You might consider these "mass market" but I think they look very interesting.

If the above are too expensive, I´d ask MSicard for a O1 or 52100 version of a gyutohiki that could be within budget.
That´s what I´d do if I didn´t live beyond that big pond.

Based on prior experience with the line, seller, and fit with your geometry criteria (except your non-Shirogami preference), this might qualify as "special":

What is your experience with white paper steel that makes you disinclined here without also ruling out simpler carbon steels (O1, for example) or blue 1 (again, for example)? I'm honestly curious to learn. I have the White 2 WH gyuto and it definitely takes a patina quickly. But no signs of rust in swampy swampy Norfolk, VA.
