Finally looking too cool down after an extended acquisition phase. For sale today I have a BNIB HADO Blue#1 Damascus Gyuto 240mm. This is the recent release non-standard version from Cutting Edge UK with a slightly forward pointing heel. Cutting edge is a bit flatter than expected - actually matches my preference, but after further consideration it feels redundant in my collection. Thought about returning this one but instead figured it might be of interest to the folks here.

Offering for sale for $550 $525 $515 $500 USD shipped in US. Happy to provide further details or pictures.

Measurements: 53 x 232

Trade interests as follows, can throw cash on top if appropriate:
- Takada no Hamono 240 or 270 gyuto (carbon steel)
- Konosuke FM 255 gyuto
- Tetsujin Metal Flow 240 gyuto
- Nakagawa x Myojin 240 gyuto

Can you elaborate on the flat profile? It looks like a pretty decent belly to me. Does it come to a hard stop when cutting? Beautiful knife btw
You aren't wrong - not really flat, just a bit more flat than might be typical for this specific knife. The listing on the website when purchased mentioned the slight angle at the heel but you can see more comparison in my post history.

A beautiful knife to be certain, though can't comment on performance as I would like to keep this one BNIB. Just used my bunka from this same line this evening and was again blown away - good enough that I purchased two gyutos for comparison.

A couple more photos showing comparison between standard and non-standard. Much more similar than maybe my initial description let on - only slightly flatter towards the heel.
